Clinical Research Advisor
Doc. RNDr. Viktor Witkovský, CSc., is a mathematical statistician, a specialist in data analysis. He is a researcher at the Institute of Measurement of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where he is the head of the department of theoretical methods. He is an expert in the theory of mathematical-statistical methods as well as computational aspects of statistical data analysis. His research is focused on the development of new methods in the field of mathematical statistics and applied mathematics, especially research in the field of linear and nonlinear regression models, research in statistical methods and algorithms for biomedical applications, technical applications, measurement problems and metrology. He has experience in solving domestic and international scientific projects (supported by grant agencies in Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Austria and the EU Commission within its science support programs) focused on various aspects of mathematical statistics as well as biomedical research, where he worked as a specialist in statistical analysis of measured data.
Viktor Witkovski graduated from the Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Comenius University in Bratislava, where in 1986 he obtained the degree of RNDr. He obtained the scientific degree of Candidate of Sciences (CSc.) in 1993 at the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where he has been working at the Institute of Measurement of the Slovak Academy of Sciences ever since. In 2005, he received the scientific-pedagogical degree of Associate Professor (Doc.) Of Mathematics at the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics of Comenius University in Bratislava.
